Trials of Ascension: Exile Overview
Trials of Ascension: Exile is a is a fantasy-themed host-your-own survival RPG for the PC. Players are able to choose between three distinct races to play; the resourceful humans, the monstrous raknar, and the all-powerful dragons. Each race has a entirely different approach to survival and advancement, including their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Players must survive the harsh conditions of the isle to progress while managing their hunger, thirst, and protecting themselves from the elements. They also need to contend with aggressive wildlife and compete with other players for resources and to avoid becoming a resource themselves.
FEATURES
- Play as a Human | As the only race with full access to our crafting system, humans are able to take raw resources from the land and create every item, weapon, and tool they need to survive. Humans can enhance the resulting items they craft by researching Improvements. They can also design and build structures to protect themselves from the elements and their enemies. In addition, Humans have access to a wide range of skills, which can be improved with use. As skills increase, they unlock Disciplines which allow the player to customize the skill through bonuses.
- Play as a Raknar | Raknar are giant, eight-limbed arachnids that are designed for combat. They are combat-ready right from the start and evolve their abilities over time with use. As ambush predators, they can hide in the shadows using their night-vision until a target moves within range. They are able to lay webbing to ensnare their targets, and can run down their prey with short, powerful bursts of speed. They also possess the unique ability to crawl on vertical and inverted surfaces!
- Play as a Dragon | Dragons provide players access to boss-level characters, but they must first earn the privilege by surviving as a hatchling. Harvest rare metal nuggets to help your dragon molt through growth stages, build nests to store your resources, and avoid death at all costs. As you grow, you will unlock a realistic flight ability and your fiery breath attack
- Play as You Like | As a host-your-own game, server hosts can choose from a variety of settings to customize their island experience. They can adjust the resource density and regeneration rates, the day:night ratio, length of day, allowed races, and to allow up to 64 concurrent connections. They can also choose between three different PvP settings; open PvP, Racial PvP, and PvE. The number of lives the players have can be customized as well, from 1 to infinite, allowing for hard-core and perma-death servers.
