Anyone know a lot about TV's? I know I want a Smart TV. Right now I found this one. My bugdet is no more then a grand in Canadian funds. Anyone know anything about this model?

Samsungs are awesome, their interconnectivity with other media devices is great, the user interface for accessing web content is simple to use and gets updated quite frequently, and the 1080p LED has a beautiful picture. We just bought one for our living room and it looks great. We have a Samsung plasma for the TV room and we love that one too. You're picking a good brand for televisions.
EDIT: Be sure to invest in a quality HDMI cable for whatever you're using for a picture signal. It makes all the difference in the world. Go with an audioquest™ brand cable or Monster™ brand.
Having a hard time narrowing down your exact model using the code you gave I conceded that the following is most likely the same exact model just labeled differently for the US region.

Assuming this is correct I would say it's appears to be a very decent buy. Plus you really can't go wrong when it comes to Samsung and LCD/LED technology, they are one of the world leaders that not only provide the vast majority you will find in TV's but also PC monitors and smartphones.
I will never buy a Monster cable in canada lol. you honestly pay an extra $50 for the name alone. A 6ft monster HDMI is like $120 in canada. freakin stupid! lol I'll keep an eye our for Audioquest

HDMI is a digital signal. So long as you aren't trying to run like 6m or more, the brand is really inconsequential. Unlike analog cables, which cable quality can greatly impact visual quality, for digital signals, you just get additional length - the signal being digital works fine up until a certain point, where the quality of the cable will restrict the length that you can go for a certain amount of bandwidth. If you are just hooking up locally with a typical 1m or 2m cable, it's going to work fine pretty much no matter what - cable quality really only comes into play on digital signals when you start to exceed 3m and/or very high bandwidth signals (3D, 4K, etc).

I have a LG LW5600, awesome picture quality and PCmag still rates it as the best picture in the sub 2000 range. 3D is awesome as well, cheap glasses but the Smart TV thing I only use for streaming things and Netflix which it works great for. It might be a little more than your budget but I would recommend it.
I only buy Samsung TVs, and it blows me away how much they are adding to them every cycle.
It does not matter too much which TV manufacturer you go with since there are only 4 Panel makers which is what affects picture quality the most. Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and Sony. The only thing you are really paying for is the extras and who delivers it best. My recommendation is Samsung if you want SmartTV features, and LG if you want a good picture. LG does 1 thing with some of its 3D models that isn't to pleasant. They halve resolution on 3D playback to get the panel to run fast enough. LG also has less features for smart TV. However, LG has superior picture quality from its panels.
On cables you do not need or should get Monster Cables. They are made of a softer and easier to break metal that is not necessary for current HDMI standards. No point in getting better electric fluidity if it has zero effect on the output. I would recommend getting 2 or 3 HDMI cables of different types when you buy one of cheaper price. Usually with 3 you can get atleast 1 that works. HDMI is nice and convinient, but they are also easier to go wrong with if you are not careful due to all the small contact points. Sometimes the HDMI port goes wrong, more often its the HDMI cable. So preplanning with multiple cables is the best way to go.

Which I found at a local retailer for $1299.99. An extra $300 above what I was going to spend but I think it will be well worth it in the end! I had a 2010 model 42 LG LCD TV and loved it a lot. Back to LG I go. They really have stepped it up with their TV's over the years.
