TSW was hard on my computer.  Had to update.

Was running a AMD 5200 (2.6ghz) 2 gigs ram, and a 6750 RAD card.  I would often drop to 6-10 fps in Kingsmouth with everything turned off (Kingsmouth = 1st area).  Everything is relative to what you have in your box, but I had to finally drop some cash on newer stuff.  Wow was great because you can run everything on high with a damn commodore lol.

Oh crap whats wrong with me!  Check out Fallen Earth.  It's F2P so you can try it out and it is the first game that was able to give me some substance other than WoW.  I would still be playing it if I hadn't found The Secret World at a discount price and figured to take a shot.

Awesome... Tera is what I was looking for. Actual fighting... maneuvering out of the way of frontal attacks etc..

Only lvl 10 on here but seems to keep my attention!

Thanks again for all of the suggestions..

Oh and Ryzom seems legit as well but, As soon as I entered both times I was banned...

Apparently TessTickles and LouSaneUs are inappropriate.. w/e

P.s. Love the fact games are incorprating the xbox controller... Love it for casual questing etc.. Obviously can't compete with key bindings when it comes to pvp etc.. but very nice while just leveling up.

lol. well, yeh.. those names are inappropriate. I wouldn't run with those sort of names in any MMOs anyway, they would be against all naming policies. Anyone reporting you, and some people are anal that way, might get your character blocked or deleted or summat. Ain't worth it.

If you've had those names in WoW and AO and got away with it then you have been very lucky so far. I know people that got suspended from WoW for repeated use of that type of name.

I have to second this. It's by no means a perfect game, and I haven't done much PVP in it, but there are plenty of choices for how you want to build your character and what you feel like doing. I've been spending a lot of time gathering and crafting in it, but you can just as well kill mobs for drops and exp, or do missions.  Unlike in Eve, where you spend weeks/months training to do something, only to find it's no fun or not worth the time it takes for such little isk... I feel like I'm progressing no matter what I'm doing in FE.

Right now my plan is to continue with Fallen Earth for my Gathering/Crafting fix, and play GW2 for the PVP.

I'm glad you're liking TERA. I played a ton of it when it was released. Unfortunately they came too little, too late with patches to add in some fun end-game content. And while the PVP sounds good, it's really quite terrible. Maybe once they add some structure, points, objectives (BG's/Arena), it will be good. Instead of people just sitting right on the edge of a towns safe zone calling it "open world" PVP like they do now.

I had such high hopes for TERA, and was bummed that I didn't make it past the first month.

It looks like you've already found your game, so good luck. TERA is a nice game, you seem to enjoy its combat, which is a big+

By no means do i love it I like it... It's just the best thing I found so far... Combat is a bit slow though... The whole point of being able to dodge attacks... Maneuvering etc... would be to beat someone with skill > Gear.

Alot of the moves require your guy to stop moving and charge up an attack.. limiting how effective this really is.

I'm assuming this is only because I have beginner skills... hopefully there are enough instant casts down the line to make it truely competitve.

I am just testing stuff. I just upgraded my computer to a

Intel Core i7 Processor i7-920 motherboard ram etc.. so I am good to go on any game!

I will be downloading fallen earth I believe it was called. Hope this is something nice as well.

Can't say again how appreciative I am for all of the input.

Kev - the loading screen has some input about them introduces bg's etc. But as stated too little too late I have seen this soo many times. Rush to make money... Good concepts but, poor release because they are in such a rush to get the money in the bank.

I'm still undecided. I am currently leveling on Tera..Lotro... and now fallen earth at least until GW 2 is available. If gw2 sucks then tsw sounds like a good pick.

Won't know until I get a bit further on each.

Still looking for anything that wasn't suggested... I'm more than open to try something I haven't out already.

Been off the pc for some time and xboxin it up so semi clueless to what else is out there other than the Mainstream top 10 lists you find when searching.
