Nexon and Mabinogi devs have announced a charitable item has been placed into the game. The 'Starlight Scepter' is now available and 50% of the proceeds from the sale of these scepters will be sent directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation. The Starlight Scepter will remain for sale for the next year. In addition, 100% of proceeds from the sale of the Mabinogi soundtrack on iTunes will be donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
For more than 25 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. Mabinogi, which has more than a million registered users in North America, will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from the in-game sale of the Starlight Scepter, priced at approximately four dollars, to Starlight.
The Starlight Scepter, a silver-colored, decorative wand with a rainbow glow effect, will be available in the Mabinogi item shop.
“Our players have shown great heart and spirit, and I expect that they will embrace Starlight’s mission without hesitation,” said Charles Park, Nexon America’s producer of Mabinogi. “It is important to our players, the game and to our company that we reach outside our business and support those in need. Starlight is a great cause, and we are humbled to be able to help.”
