LEGO Universe has officially launched! LEGO Universe is the first officially licensed MMO based on the LEGO play experience. The title is available both via retail stores and online download sites. The game currently retails for $39.99. According to devs, the LEGO Group and NetDevil are already working on new worlds, missions, characters, competitions, bricks, models, features and fun to come over the next several months, years and beyond.
NetDevil has announced that pre-order customers, or Founders, will be allowed to start building an empire four days earlier than originally planned. Beginning Friday, October 8th, Founders will have access to the LEGO Universe servers, a full two weeks ahead of the launch date of October 22nd. If you've not grabbed a copy of LEGO Universe, this may be the perfect opportunity.
Fans of LEGO Universe will be pleased to know that a trading card game will be arriving soon. Dire Wolf Digital will be producing the trading card game both as a digital game and with physical products available in stores. LEGO Universe is set to go live in October 2010 and the trading card game will arrive in early 2011.
