Hi-Rez Studios has announced that its flagship title, Global Agenda, is going free to play with the mid-April update. Called 'free agent' mode, the new model will give access to all areas and up to level 50. For $19.99, players can upgrade to 'elite status' which allows for faster leveling, gear acquisition, currency and other priority features. In addition to the F2P model, players will have the Dome Defense Raid content to look forward to with the update.

Global Agenda will be patched to v1.39 today in a free upgrade for all players. The new patch will bring several new features online including four new maps, new rare PvP rewards including a new jetpack prototype, enhancements to the /challenge function, updates to Dome City and new seasonal flair that you can earn during the Holiday event coming to Global Agenda later this month.
The Global Agenda team will be logging in tonight from 8-10 p.m. EST testing their skills within a Global Agenda PvP Pre-Season Tournament. The tournament has been arranged via AgendaStats.com. The recent 1.38 update to Global Agenda introduced a Challenge feature. Using this feature, ready-made teams can fight each nother on a map of their choosing. Players participating in the event will receive an in game "Horus" mask.

Global Agenda developer, Hi-Rez Studios, has announced that it is now the proud owner of the Tribes Universe franchise after completing a purchase of the IP from GarageGames. Hi-Rez has two teams working: One to continue development of Global Agenda and one to begin working on Tribes Universe. Alpha testing of Tribes Universe is slated to begin in early 2011 and GA players of level 50 will have priority for inclusion.
The Global Agenda team has announced new Halloween events and a series of (lucky) thirteen masks available from now through the end of November. The masks will randomly drop from bots during the Halloween mission and will range in quality from 'uncommon' to 'epic'.
