It's always sad when an MMORPG announces a cancellation, or in the case of Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising, an "indefinite hold". Developers and designers who worked for years to release a product to the general public will never see their game enjoyed. Over the last few years, any time that I had a chance to speak with the development team of this game, I found them to be  excited about briniging a game to market for people to enjoy.

MMORPG.com would like to express best wishes to the development team from Gods & Heroes and to thank them for their cooperation with us throughout their development.

Before the game's sudden cancellation, the team had provided MMORPG.com with exclusive screenshots from the game. While we had intended to release these over time, we have decided to publish them today as a result of yesterday's announcement.
