Ripper makes his video from prespective of someone who is completely new to MMOS. So ofcourse you see him making mistakes and learning. That is the whole point of his videos... duh!!
He doesn't make these videos to show you his l33t skills.

Thu Nov 15 2012 5:15PM ReportWas hoping you'd cover this. MWO looks like its part simulator part FPS which I was hoping for.
Was funny to watch and listen to you as always.
Thanks Rip.
And thanks for bringing your original intro back. Like'em both but the orgi is the best.

Thu Nov 15 2012 9:49PM ReportI'm not much into Mechs, but I like to check these first impressions for Ripper's commentary :)
And +1 to what Freezzo said, there were a few unusual silent part in the vid. C'mon, what is happening, put some lines in there too...

Fri Nov 16 2012 4:48AM Report"Mechs you can pay for...Money for the best Mechs." This has Pay-to-Win all over it. Real shame as I am a old mech fan myself.
if you're such a fan why not check out the game for free and realize this is false... there is one cash only mech and it is simply a variant.. no better not less, just has a fancy paint job.
Fri Nov 16 2012 5:27AM ReportI will also chime in here and say that MWO is absolutely NOT pay to win. Not even close. There is one single mech that can only be purchased with MC (Mech Credits purchased w/ real cash) and it's only a variant. And to be honest it's not very good. You get a CBill (ingame currency) boost if you pilot that mech, but the mech itself isn't anything special.
The best part about MWO is that *ANY* mech can destroy you in the hands of a capable pilot. Once you learn which playstyle suits you best and customize a few mechs to play to your strengths, you can really start shredding people.
Fri Nov 16 2012 8:58AM Reportif you are truly a mech fan try the game instead of making uninformed ignorant claims that it is pay 2 win.
<span com_body"="">With the Exception the the Yen Lo Wang (A Centurion Variant from the Novels with custom skin) all mechs can be bought with Cbills (play for free) or MC (bought with real cash) and no matter which way you pay for it it works the same.
The only difference between the YLW and the standard Centurions variants is it has less hardpoints, a custom skin & earns 35% more cbills per match. The 4 Founders Mech variants (which can no longer be purchased) also have custom skins but they are basic chasis and they earn 25% more Cbills per match.
More cbills per match is helpfull but definitely not pay to win and does not give an advantage against other players during combat.
The great thing about this game is that even the lightest mech can damage & kill the heaviest mechs, there is no weapon bounce like in WoT. So you can throw down some cash and but an Atlas and you will still get owned by players with more skill in light mechs & to top it off that Atlas repair bill is going to be astronomical !
