I think an important thing this mmo needs to include is the ability to retain certain long term achievements for the entire account or server.  So for example player housing is accessible to all characters created on a server for a player.

expecting people to redo certain tasks with not enough incentive to reroll will hurt retention. It limits content and end game.

since a huge part of the content is the different classes at end game, but restrictions or not enough incentive to access that content becomes lost to the player not motivated to try to reroll.

So what about pvp end game gear, and then trying to get that on all other classes? If they tried to reduce the grind for a reroll, and try to keep people engaged with a variety of content ( playing different classes and new end game content) then having less end game downtime with less grind is rewarded with a lot of content.

Since they have a lot of content but a short path to end game it makes more sense to synergize this issue.
