Euphoryk writes: @ Molobolo Wrong. They've been listening to players for years, you really need to learn the facts. In beta for 5 years? That is easily one of the most ridiculous comments that has ever been made towards WoW on this website. Get your head out of your ass, and learn to accept success for what it is. googajoob7 writes: Perhaps you can ask him next time when Blizzard will release thier current subscription figures . Given they were doing it regulary untill december 2008 and not once in 2009 even taking the situation in China into consideration one has to wonder why . Fri Sep 25 2009 9:28PM Report
Loke666 writes: Hmm, he talked a lot about improving the new player experience... I hope that doesn't mean that they will make the content even easier pre lvl 80. Wow is already the most noob friendly game out there, aren't there more important thing to focus on? Sat Sep 26 2009 3:32AM Report

Obiyer writes: I might go back for Cataclysm, probably not though. But I understand what he means about accessibility. I notice old MMO's have the problem of being too daunting for new players, and most new players just go to newer games. Some don't even play games after it's been out for awhile saying it's too "old." Sat Sep 26 2009 4:23PM Report

diegooo1972 writes: Just be serious. this is a businees game. It's in blizzard interest make WOW more comfortable for new players. Or you think it' s better to just address new players as noobs and let them fly away ? Ppl are quite demanding in MMOPRG world and I understand is quite annoying to learn the meaning of every word, of every object and every mob in the game for a newcomer. Personally i don't like to quest in an empty wolrd as it happens now in kalimdor, eastern kingdom and BC. It's a good choice to revamp old place to have ppl there. In one move they gain: 1) better experience for new players. Money for blizzard. 2) refreshing experience for old players rolling a new char. Loads of hours to play and money for blizzard. 3) large part of world atm nearly empty, will be again playable for higher lvls. Loads of hours to play and money for blizzard. 4) and after all pll was asking to fly in old continents right ? Blizzard is awesome to justify larger farming ( hours played ) with pve and pvp balance. Everything has to turn in hour played and money gained. This is a business or it can't be at all. So money comes first then players needs. They must have a formula that balance addiction and frustration to reach higher time played. Genius. That's what hey are. Sun Sep 27 2009 9:00AM Report
Briansho writes: They have to do something with the newbie zones. A brand new player coming it has to grind through 10-15 levels in empty zones. Cataclysm is a reload to push EVERYONE through the same zones for more interaction. Sun Sep 27 2009 11:01AM Report
meleemadness writes: Garrett, good job in pulling some nice information.....I found it interesting that the developers are the ones who actually come up with the designs and are not fed them. That explains why Shaman are horrible (compared to other classes) in PvP....there are no developers who play shaman and it shows. Anyway, i don't play the game anymore as I can't stand the FOTM standard they use....hopefully, with the expansion, that will stop. Sun Sep 27 2009 8:11PM Report

socrates656 writes: Man, you morons are frigging retarded. WoW is the most successful MMO. Just, because you don't like the game dosnt mean its a terrible game. It just means the game isnt for you. I'm not a wow fanboi, I don't even play WoW. I'm so sick of hearing these so called hard-core gamers talk about WoW and put it down at every turn they get. Look if you didn't like WoW, fine, but if you say WoW is the worst game ever and anyone who plays it must be a asshole or a 12 year old then you obviously know nothing about what the concept of WoW is in the first place. I don't like WoW because it's not my type of game, but damn I don't go on and on about it like you pussys. Mon Sep 28 2009 7:05AM Report
