Well it looks good but for those complaining about it looking like WoW, you can't make the game massive with the top of the line graphics because the masses won't be able to play it. WH40k > WoW. :)

As an imperial guard, every key on your keyboard besides the W key and enter key is disabled on your keyboard. Upon hitting the enter key, your character automatically types For The Emporer!, which then you press enter again, to say it.

Actually from that trailer it looks much more like DoW than WoW, seems to lack some shaders however. Hoping it's just a quick alpha and eventually they will add some eyecandy for those with higher power PCs

Warhammer 40k was around long before WoW and already was using this form of stylized art so if anyone looks like anyone, it's WoW that looks like 40k.

How are they going to make this from a tabletop game to a MMORPG. It will be as messed up as WAR, it's a great IP for mass battles between factions but an RPG? No, it won't happen.

I'm sure it will be a fun game but not an MMORPG.

im seeing all forms of projectile weapons/attacks in this video and every scene i keep thinking,

gee i wonder if any of this will go through walls when people attempt to take cover.

im predicting the factions as Space Marines, Orcs, Chaos Marines and Eldar at start, with Tau and Sisters added later. I also predict they will have two PvE NPC races.. Necron and Tyranids.. to fight when not fighting faction pvp.

i also want to say, i want to be able to pilot a Dreadnaught, even if it means being surgically mutilated to be placed inside the dmn thing.

hmmmm looks alot like Dawn of War 2..... I know that the cgi assets at the beginning of the trailer (the imperium ships going into warp) are the exact same as those from DOW2.  If they are using the same engine and or alot of already done art assets it may be out too soon.

Actually WoW is a rip off of Warhammer.  Back in the day Blizzard were working on a Warhammer RTS.  When Games Workshop changed their mind they were left with a finsihed game.  So they rebranded it Warcraft.

So yeah, Warcraft is going to look like Warhammer.

I really hope its WoW-like or a WoW-clone. I hope THQ makes a game as fun as WoW. But fixes all the shit Blizz broke with WoW. The favortism of certain classes, the PvP. But PvP most of all. I hope THQ embraces open world PvP and all that os not "Arena"..

 I hope THQ doesnt go down the path of segregating its subscibers because some chose not to embrace an "Arena" style of gameplay. Meaning they dont force people to play PvP only one way. Or only reward people who play what they consider an "E-Sport". I hate the fact that I had to literally PvP 4 times as much to get  gear  2 steps below "Arena" players.

Fuck you Blizzard, for making me a 2nd class subscriber while still requiring me to pay $15 a month. Fuck you and you elitist attitude.

As said by many people before me and I'm sure many people after me, WoW is a clone of Warhammer not the other way round. If they look alike it is because warcraft copied warhammer and hence all future games related to warhammer and warcraft would always be destined to look pretty similar.

That said I know this is basically alpha footage but from what I've seen so far I'm impressed. If they learn from the mistakes of warhammer age of reckoning then I can see this game being amazing. Definatly one I am keeping my eye on

Got so many combos of classes / equipment in War 40k that i dunno how they'll manage.

Take just a terminator, between a term with claws (pure DPS) a term with hammer (tank + dps) a term with assault cannon (ranged dps) a term with cyclone missile (aoe awesomeness)... so many possibilities, and i'm not talking about tactical marines, or with chaos marines (or blood) who can be both tactical and melee squads. So many options...

Honestly so many people are jaded now from their experence with Warhammer Online and having PVP shoved down their throats and lackluster unfinished graphic quality , they will have to do a really good job on this or some wont give it more than a glance.   The graphic quality of that vid does look better than Warhammer already.

Still I;m looking for something like old EQ , not this.

the cartoon style is fine with me as long as they make a good solid MMoRPG that has a little depth and is fun to play, the setting is one of the best, but then again Mythics Warhammer should have been great, but...this is one to watch for sure.

not impressed yet.  Hoping I will be.  Maybe three or more factions would draw me in...but not Order vs Chaos - "let's be friends for a time (in this game) to kill our mutual enemy (too difficult/too expensive/ too involved to have three seperate factions)."  Here's wishing for territorial wars over planets.

This give me nothing new, in fact it only makes me think that THQ and Vigil games dont worry with they quality in trailers and dont even get bothered to rush one only for W40K fans, maybe they will rush the game too? i bet...

It will be the same as the others will start with a big hype then a big disapoint and the low playerbase will defend this game to the end, but will be crap anyway.

Second, Warhammer and Warhammer-40K existed well before Warcraft was around, so technically Warcraft copied Warhammer . . . The gameplay doesn't look anything like WoW (guns, missles, vehicles, deadnots), so how else could it possibly be a "clone," since the art style precides WoW?

it's an MMORPG with probably grapphic capabilities of most machines (which was the doom of many an MMO, or the dying of one.. age of conan just won't die, even though it has bugs in it that have been there since launch [hair changing, Xoti hair loss and others straight from tortage])

meh, to be honest it's not by Mythic so high hopes already, i did enjoy THQ's RTS  style 40k. So if they actually go for PvP rather than attempt a mix (war) released with half the stuff (cancelled cities and classes; the classes later came back). Now of course WAR has done away with most of the PvE stuff.

Of course WAR is shit, the engine is awful for mass PvP... little or no updates, pretty sure every MMORPG has had more updated in the first 6 months than WAR has ever had or will ever have by the looks of things. Hell even WoW had major updates put in.. WAR got LotD eventually, and that's small and well shit.. I said it.

I have hopes for THQ but again i'll wait until i see some info... i'd rather they concentrated on a small sector of space with a few factions and expanded. (for example cadia space - orcs, chaos, marines and imperial guard with eldar being added as an update for a major storyline)

Advance from there, this looks.... kinda dodgy by story standards..... hmm.. i'll wait to see... but if it's ONE planet with all sorts of factions vying it out. I'll be slightly disapointed. 40K has such rich planets.. more so than star trek (and that crappy MMO)

Oh poor Games Workshop... how are they even going to compete once Guild Wars 2 and World of Starwars... I mean SWTOR are released. This doesn't seem to have even the slightest hint of innovation in it but who knows anything can happen.

It's scary to a degree... Space marines and imperial guard often clashed because of their zealous views/political mumbo jumbo... So if they're continuously locked in an alliance then the storyline will seem pretty simplified. It better not end up "wowish" and have humans(space marine/imperial guard/battle sisters) vs evil.. humans/aliens..(chaos marines/eldar/dark eldar) The story would be horrendous then :(.

I'm still worried out one of their PR people saying it was going to be just like WoW and everyone who liked WoW will like this. Not an exact quote, but pretty much what he said...the trailer looks nice though.

This is the right direction!  40K has so much potential for sweet story.  Looks awesome so far!  I'll be playing the shit outta this game.

As someone who is a huge Warhammer 40k fan...

I can honestly say I'm hugely dissapointed.

The art style is TERRIBLE for 40k. Everything looks to soft, to nice. I just about want to puke everytime I see that terrain with the grass and the idylic hills, with chaos and the Imperium fighting on it...

WoW-ish...  Warhammer has been around since the early 80s, Warcraft has never been anything more than a shameless rip of it.  (Although blizz did execute the computer gaming side of it better, at first.)
