If they let us down after all the heartfelt "we are on your side, we only want good games, etc", there'll be a shitstorm to rival swtor/GW 2's.

But they won't. Let's go behaviour!

They talk about making the player feel epic and there are 2 ways that most games do this 1. Story and quests with easy to difficult bosses 2. Combat and certain mechanics/animations.

i feel that Pvp does not allow players to be epic when it's a simple duel. Sure if the combat is good in the game then winning feels epic. But if Pvp is only about winning duels then it doesn't feel as great as it could be... Hence adding objectives.

however, what about mixing pve with easy to difficult npcs in Pvp areas. They add a different feel and add different objectives depending on the map type.

to not have npcs play a part in some kind of mechanic will make the game in an open world feel too much like a Zerg for Pvp.

and it doesn't have to be only open world to have npcs as some kind of obstacle to deal with.

i would prefer a game that was mostly a sand box but in depth that was dynamic with npc movement and cities and trade routes are affected. Instead of a static world with 100s of hours of quest. They can still have story but it doesn't have to be 100s of hours. They can content after a short story that becomes horizontal progression such as raids or open world bosses. Point is, I want to see a game give more options to the player that fit with the theme of a combat world rather than a static world and a few options after the quests.
