WildStar Videos: E3 2013 - Korean Press Presentation with Jeremy Gaffney (60:37)

At an offsite event during this year's E3, Carbine Studios' Jeremy Gaffney unveiled WildStar to select members of the Korean press community, and we were there to tape the whole thing and hear what the Gaffer has in store for the game and its upcoming launch. NOTE: Presentation has pauses for Korean translations.

WOW, in 2013 they dare to bring a mmo that isnt even fluid in combat, brings aweful animation, and looks lackluster in many ways.

I hate to say this but, if WoW was realeased at the same time, this game would go under like it poped out of nowhere.

Terrible in many ways you look at it. One of those games that you look at it and look past it after 5min.

Seriously this game is looking like it has something for everyone, and although I will never call it a wow killer it is most defiently one of the first games I can call a real "3rd Generation" MMO.

It isn't 3rd generation from a artistry or graphical perspective, it isn't 3rd generation from a combat perspective, it isn't 3rd generation from a story perspective, I mean, it looks first generation to me with its exclamation points, arrows that say "go there", fetch and kill quests, red ground to avoid, quests nobody will read and care about, from a PVE standpoint it looks boring to me.  Borrowing from other games doesn't make it interesting. I got into an argument with a guildie. He swore up and down that settlers could go around building open world towns. I saod you couldn't.

I gues if clicking a box and taking it to an NPC is building, he was right...

@ vittel01   I like how you're being all negative, and decide to rant about people not being educated, and you can't even spell "you're" correctly.

Get educated, IMO.

What a bunch of elitist nerds in the comments, kings of speculation.

This looks like a really solid game even though I find it too cartoony. It's one of those things that you ll get used to eventually and learn to appreciate it when playing it.

Since I quit WoW I've been expecting a MMO to deliver what WoW failed. Since then we've been promised great story (SWTOR), huge loads of content but somewhat missing something to get people really hooked (Rift), action gameplay (DCUO and Neverwinter) , emphasys on cooperation instead of competition ( GW2 ).

They all failed to deliver something really special in one box: loads of interactivity between players (pve, pvp AND social), long range goals, a persistent living world. A place where we actually would feel our time well spent and a sense of growth and accomplishment.

From what I've read so far, these Carbine dudes have the right mentality to make a MMO and so far the right features for it. Let's hope they deliver and build upon it.
