Now that we have this cleared up, do some research, Defiance is developed by Trion San Diego, 100% separate team, last I heard they are still hiring there - yep just checked, still have positions open.

@hokie, yeah without any context the video can be confusing as it shows several areas of the game, PvE missions, PvP battleground, and more PvE alien invasion event.

the game is not a lobby game, it is a single large persistent world with PvE, dungeons and missions, open world PvP, battleground PvP, dynamic events - think Rift meets Tabula Rasa.
