'I will find you'
Love these reviews.
Sorry Hive :( I am one of those "liked it better before" guys, not a fan of new Firefall.
but I loved your video :)
Robben come home !!!
Love the hilarious review Hive!
I prefer the cleaner approach to the crafting and the changes to the garage and battleframe station. On the other hand, while I enjoy the game still, I did prefer the older linear frame upgrade path.
I have't looked the new Firefall yet, so can't comment that part, but the video is great again.
"I'm also Batman" yep, we know, DCUO video was fun too :)
The problem isnt so much what changes they made with the launch patch its that they changed the games progression and crafting systems with the launch patch. like all of it.
oh and locked all pvp behind a level wall.
They changed it from a fun sandbox, to a hamster wheel grind fest.
your wrong hariken look up my posts/threads on FF and I'm much happier now with the game, now it just needs balancing/content for endgame and some mid gamish stuff. This guy pretty much nails the review for the most part imo those that don't like it need niches type games to play ff being a first of its kind needs a large and dramatic playerbase to sustain its melded consumption of human souls it spits back out unto the earth as chosen reapers.
The main problem with Firefall is that when people don't like something they spend more time trying to destroy it than they spend trying to help something they like...
Game is fun, isn't so different from the versions before (The main exceptions are the leveling and the erradication of itens permabreak(Thansk god for it)) and still fun. It can be a little confuse to new players on the other hand.
I play it since the time when be a beta tester of Firefall was something hard to achieve (not like the last days of CBT) and in truth the game is better now than it was in the last patch (AKA milestone).
My problem is the leveling system applied to the map. I can understand changing the way you improve a frame, but tying that into the map takes away the sandbox and makes it like any themepark MMO. Gone are the days I could take my new frame I just earned up to Thump Dump and run around with a friend in the frame he has been playing.
I have an arsenal that was 3/4 maxed in the old system which translated to level 21 in the new one and I am told that BWA is for level 24+ now. I now have to level up the frame in order to continue working on the 16 imprint runs I need for the achievement.
