there are two simple reasons behind that decision:

compatibility (the playstation is one fixed system, having preset hardware, unlike pcs) and aimbots (artificial aiming does not operate on the playstation afaik)!

it's a good game, and it has mouse/keyboard support if your concerned about a lack of 'controller' skills
