Hm.....some thoughts.

Lots of growth.  Well, if you want to see a skill tree offering "lots of growth" take a look at the skill tree in Paths of Exile.  I don't consider what I saw offering "lots of growth".

I do like making combat quicker and hopefully getting rid of that clunky, sluggish feeling that combat currently is.

Regardless, what will happen is for the first couple of weeks or so people will be bitching and moaning about the changes and how they ruined the game.  Afterwards, people will adapt and continue to play.  It will then become the standard and the bitching and moaning will start again if they ever make another change.

And I never used some of my skills on my four main characters.  Some will not like the changes, but most will I think. The RAIDers are gone and will not come back. These people made the community great and will be missed. Fri Oct 18 2013 12:50PM Report

I'm happy that they're trying to speed up combat, and getting rid of the skill bloat, which was as bad in this game as I've ever seen. My only question is in regards to their reasoning for locking players into roles.  The devs have said that making roles more defined was a big reason this change was made.

My question is...why?  The game does not focus on raiding and dungeons.  In fact, it's beccome almost an exclusive solo-centric MMO since the RoI expansion, so why are roles suddenly so important?  Are they going to bring back raiding?

I love in those games if we need me to be a tank I can switch to tank if the tank we had dc's or leaves I can switch from DPS back to tank. Make the game more fun for me and less looking for the wright player to come along.  Sun Oct 20 2013 3:45PM Report
