I played the beta 2 and 3 testing. I found the game to be well done artistically but seriously lacking for me as a gamer in mechanics. Despite the big game world, everything felt very linear.
Its not a bad game, it just didnt appeal to me enough to want to buy/play it. I completed the 1st dungeon and I was horribly let down by how it progressed. The interior of it felt out of place and the combat encounters were dull and mostly uneventful or mondane. A 4 member group the game put together at one point had no healer and till we got one , by someone volunteering to leave, we couldnt progress further. I personally didnt have high expectations of this game and even that wasnt achieved.
I will say this for it, its a HUGE Social game and should have a gigantic social aspect to playing after release. Satisfying alot of gamers who desire a strong social aspect to the games they play.
You're right, when ever I play an MMO, and get to the first dungeon, it always has a veritable plethora of mechanics and bosses for me to be forced to a high level of skilled play at the very start of the game.
Oh wait, that has never happened, ever.
