daarco writes: Im a Marvel fan, but this sounds very interesting : ) Kinda what everyone seems to cry for in MMOs today. Mon Jun 15 2009 5:34PM Report
TheNinjaboy writes: Problem is certain abilities will be insanely overpowered vs. others such as Superspeed or Fly. If there are no autohit abilities then no one will ever hit each other or it if they do it won't be enough to stop or kill anyone. City of Heroes / Villains has a lot of solutions to these types of problems but I have yet to see how DC plans on solving it. Mon Jun 15 2009 7:22PM Report

TheNinjaboy writes: I think the fact they're making it a TPS (third person shooter) is rather interesting though and certainly makes it different then your typical MMO. Odd they would do that considering that is more for the PvP oriented player which doesn't really fit this genre so much. I am glad they're doing it like that but there will have to be some compromises with that system. Mon Jun 15 2009 10:25PM Report
BlackWatch writes: SOE very nearly destroyed the way I thought about Star Wars. They killed the Matrix. Let's see what they can do to DC and my favorite hero of the last 30+ years... Batman. Sorry, but I'm just not excited from what I saw here. Mon Jun 15 2009 10:52PM Report
IAmMMO writes: I Look forward to trying this game out, especially since it's real time combat twitch based, no auto aim, which suits me just fine since I'm big fan of the FPS genre too. I'm so board of the auto aim MMO's. Sounds like a 2010 Q2 or Q3 release, since my guess is they'll want to get it out there door before STO and Star Wars Old Republic are released. cybertrucker writes: Hmm I would think releasing it AFTER Star wars by a few months would be best.. That way people can play star wars get bored with it and move to the newer flavor of a game. Tue Jun 16 2009 6:37AM Report
garry writes: Still interested here. Although I am not a fan of PvP or FPS since twitch action is pure arcade play and its the human (player) skill with hand-to-eye co-ordination that determines most results. I freely admit that I haven't the H-T-E co-ord of the younger generation raised on arcade FPS twitch so PvP will be a grind with little hope of improvement.....I ain't in a game to train, I just wanna relax and have fun so PvE is my fav. I have owned and played CoH and CoV for a while but the limited playability of a single character "class" at higher levels requires the work of group play. Honestly I want a single 'superhero' for myself. I will gladly support any team (guild etc...) that I join but essentially I like to be alone and play for myself. Selfish? Yes, I suppose, but I am playing in a game and want a fantasy superhero to be the focus and not just a bit player. Ideally, this game can provide both and I don;t mind the part where he says we might get flagged PvP on some occasions during the action. The difference in power levels and players real physical H-T-E ability will be the biggest contributing factors in most PvP. At this point I still intend to purchase this game and play at least one char on each side. The char creation sys sounds excellent and has fixed some of the frustrations for items in a game and the physics of player-game interaction seems to have been solved. (Curious that all the pick-em-up-and-throw stuff turns transparent) All in all one of the best interviews I have seen as he answered several questions I had with very little advertising hype or grandios hyperbole about superiority in the genre etc... Sky.Falcon writes: Garry I understand where your coming from but might I suggest playing a game that isnt online? I mean it sounds like you dont like when people get in your way or push you in game, so have you thought maybe that MMOs just arent for you? For me I love bettering myself in anything but in an MMO I feel its a little bit rough to have a life and still keep up with how fast the game is growing...but anyway if I see you on DC universe I will still play with u ^.^ Game looks great so far no complaints here. zaylin writes: blah blah blah sony, come on quit the comparing of games and look at a game for what it mite become(I understand they fubar'd it, but are you going to say that your favorite sports team will never when a champions ship because it had one or so few bad seasons?). dont get hyped up it will just let you down..yes get excited but to many times has a game been hyped to the point of it not living up to some ones expectations, happened to me with a few times as well. P.S. the blah blah is not meant to be rude, but I did not ever play SWG and so have only read the "sony F'd up SWG" threads. I have played FF11 and that was a fun game. but I guess all in all to each his own. Wed Jun 17 2009 7:05PM Report
