    • What am i missing, what is so exciting about this video? A player runs around erecting buildings in super speed. The graphics, i couldnt comment them based on that lousy quality video. I hope this game does become a success, i really do. Just feels really overrated currently, hoping it lives up to the expectations!

    • /clap /clap Wizardry well thought out and research comment. Game will be awesome. Dont think I will leave WOW completely. But this will be my main MMO from what I have seen so far.

    • Most of you guys are down right foolish. This video shows NOTHING of an actual city. All i see is a bunch of rampart walls ,very bland at that and very little attention was shown to detail.IMO very cheesey effort, and deff not a city.

    • looks great. The aspect of building a city will be very fun. i just hope once they add player housing, there will be a way to add them into those cities.

    • Indeed PvE city space is unlimited. But PvP 'cities', IE Battle Keeps, are limited. Only 9 on the entire server. So a late starting guild better be damn good if they plan on destroying an enemy battle keep and holding the one they build for any significant amount of time. :) But remember for smaller guilds that come in later there are always Battle Towers to build and destroy and fight over. As well as Resource Nodes that can be won over. :) So there'll be plenty of high end PvP in the Boarder Kingdoms.

    • I believe city space is unlimited. the city building areas are instanced when space runs out,i think.
  • Douhk(posted Fri Feb 22 2008)
    • What makes this really exciting is that the people playing this game once it comes out will have an advantage over people who wait a while... the world will be huge and open and people will have a better chance of having their own cities (if I understand how the city building works)... I bet by a month there wouldn't be enough room for more!
  • Alienovrlord(posted Fri Feb 22 2008)
    • I wonder what happens if someone stands on a location where a building is sprouting up? lol Interesting to allow players to create cities but the game can probably expect really chaotic, disorganized messes. But that might make better PvP, who knows.

    • sweeeett!
  • Fion(posted Thu Feb 21 2008)
    • Also note that player cities (and PvP Battle Keeps, which both use the same system,) have several levels. I know you need a 'level 3' City to even build a battle keep. You increase a cities level by expanding it, upgrading the walls, adding archer platforms, crafting buildings, taverns, upgrading the main keep, etc. It's a very sweet PvE mechanic. But just imagine two guilds fighting over space to a build a massive Battle Keep, or being part of a 100 player guild using balistas and catipults and burning such a city to the ground!

    • Note that this is just a part of one of the best videos ever showing off the game. It's not as good quality, but it shows some sweet stuff none the less. http://trailer.onlinewelten.com/videos,id3264,age_conan_praesentation.html

    • Looks awesome. I preordered my copy a few days ago. I hope I get in the beta.
  • Cisabian(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • I like the town building ability. Takes a while but it is good in the long run.
  • AmazingAvery(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • Kick Ass video, going to be a very important aspect in the game. I just love how you can climb up in the towers and maybe pick people off ranging.
  • AmazingAvery(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • Certain building give benefits to the defender too. Plus there are more considerable benefits to holding one of these for long periods of time. The better your PvE city the better your PvP Battle Keep
  • JRRTrollkin(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • Shadowhearth you must know nothing of this game. Cities exist to make you guild stronger, be defended, and get destroyed by raiding guilds.
  • TheTroll(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • I dont care about housing,.. but anyway.. if there is no housing at the moment, they will add it later.. Nice video anyway..
  • Shadowhearth(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • okay... looks cute, but what is the real point of biulding city? what benefits you get from it? i heard Aoc does not have housing...
  • Jetrpg(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • Hmm, this just makes me remember shadowbane.
  • langerak123(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • probably forever
  • lashabane(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • I can't even imagine how long it's going to take something like this to be completed in game.
  • Felle(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
    • Thats one thing I love about AoC, cool stuff.
  • bvan00(posted Wed Feb 20 2008)
