DownMonkey writes: Looks great, but it always seems a little strange seeing someone get up from having a spear shoved into them. Fri Jun 22 2007 9:11PM
Mysk writes: Yeah, no one could live through most of those moves. IMO stuff like that should be saved for finishing moves. Those animations make for great videos, but they'd get pretty darn old to wait through while playing. My general thought is "meh", but I guess we'll see. Fri Jun 22 2007 10:18PM
VeeZarD writes: I absolutely agree with Mysk. It's like summoning Aions in Final Fantasy X - at first the animations are amaing and visualy stunning, but after a while you end up turnig them off becouse they just take to long =P Anyway, lets not judge a game before it comes out =) (looks a lot like guild wars btw) Sat Jun 23 2007 5:34AM
darc21 writes: alot of them are finishing moves or specials from mobs. Anyway would u expect a mob in another game to survive the punishment that you give them and vice versa. Your character is a semi-god and therefore favoured with godlike qualities and thus can take punishment shown. Sat Jun 23 2007 6:29AM
needalife214 writes: its called demi-god.....yeah well of course those wont be the same moves the mobs will do over and over i couldn't stand that if that happened i think the game will turn out nicely ohh yeah and IMO its taking GW to the next level even though its a different game and i am so glad to see a roman game out there Sat Jun 23 2007 10:10AM
Souvec writes: I love the moves personally. Take a game like EQ 2, when all your doing is waiting for one of the buttons to light up again. I can see the animations taking the place of the wait time for a skill action to return to active. Granted alot of those move would take care anyone one of us in the real world, its is a game about Gods & Heroes. Sat Jun 23 2007 10:12AM
Garrik writes: Looks absolutly fantastic. Cant understand people whining about it not being realistic, saying people couldnt really survive most of those moves. For a start using the word "most" cracks me up becuase nobody would survive any of them really and second its a game, realease your boring norrow minds and have some fun, a normal person wouldnt survive a good whack round the head with an axe either but nobody complains about that in every other combat MMORPG out there do they. Looks great, cant wait to play it. Garrik. Sat Jun 23 2007 3:18PM
brunak writes: can't wait for this game! but the part about the cyclops...you dont hear aything when he twists the guy's spine! but in another video you do! lol continuity error. Sat Jun 23 2007 3:45PM
catafract writes: Interesting graphics and good animation. Sat Jun 23 2007 7:45PM
ruffkin writes: Boring to watch such moves through all game. Sun Jun 24 2007 1:30PM
apocalance writes: I understand the points about this being a game and all, but to me,... well, think of it like this. Imagine Mortal Kombat finishing moves.. imagine ripping someones skull and spine out, only to have them get right back up to continue the fight. It makes the move less monumental and then is only a time consuming animation. I don't like them being in the middle of combat, they should be finishing moves. Mon Jun 25 2007 12:36PM
ruffkin writes: Do you think its nice to do such finishing moves after each kill? Lets take a look if you kill about 20 mobs for 10 minutes, then 5 minutes go for only animation on this finishing moves:D Mon Jun 25 2007 1:07PM
Bellofici writes: You've got to remember, they are going for something totally different. Since they are working outside the box from traditional MMOs, I am not applying the same combat logic that is used in other games. The moves are not meant to be realistic, so of course one couldn't survive, it's for entertainment. Evaluate it from that position, not from the same cookie-cutter MMO that we are used to. Where other games are destination based games (max experience for minimal time/effort), this game is about the journey, enjoying the ride if you will. And if you have seen some of the one-on-one combat sequences, you will see that the paired animation does not actually add that much time, making combat that much more interesting compared to the traditional boring hack-n-slash. Mon Jun 25 2007 6:22PM
MaeEye writes: The thing I'm worried about, is what else does this game have to offer? I don't hear anything else about it beside the combat being different... Tue Jun 26 2007 9:47AM
Alluvian writes: This game has a LOT to offer that is new and exciting actually, and they haven't been very quiet about it. For a tip of the iceberg GDC article, you could try reading our two parter: http://www.thebrasse.com/game-news/37 http://www.thebrasse.com/game-news/38 Wed Jun 27 2007 10:32PM

Mifio writes: This game looks nic, the combat nimations to rival POTBS and AoC. Deffinatly better then WoW Fri Jun 29 2007 11:03PM
astrosapien writes: looks violent... Sun Jul 01 2007 12:39PM
tute writes: Looks awesome...can't wait. Everything I'm seeing so far looks to add up to a great game(music, good graphics, minions, housing and GREAT combat). I really don't understand the person that says 'boring to watch the moves throughout the whole game'. Show me what MMO has original moves every 10 minutes...unrealistic and poor comment without provided any contrasting games. IMO, this game will only be hurt by technical bugs such as poor performance for all the myriad computer systems (think Vanguard's release) and lag from the servers. Tue Jul 03 2007 5:37PM
LethalJaxx writes: wow.. so slow.. looks nice but i feel like falling asleep during a short promo.. imagine playing it a couple hours a day. Now if they speed the whole thing up 5 times i'm in Wed Jul 04 2007 12:09PM

nontact writes: I don't get it? What is the game play? Is it a fighter? Sat Jul 07 2007 7:32AM
saint4God writes: I'm glad they went with more realistic fighting and historical edge, but not a fan of "gods" and trying to become greater than them so I'll give it a miss. Mon Jul 09 2007 6:34PM
DarksmokeX writes: This game looks absolutely incredible the way they have incorporated mythical beasts and heroes in this game is stunning those combat animations were so demonic i was grinnign the whole movie stunning and all the people complaining do not see great development when its shoved in their face those moves were brilliantly processed. would you mindless pawns rather see a giant punch with the same two arms over and over again? or would u like your characters to die from one hit you have to think the graphics are unremarkably produced. so shut up hoes lol! ps i love this preview Tue Jul 17 2007 3:54AM
Bogdawson writes: i say get rid of the particle effects for non-magic attacks, add in blood, i mean come on it's already to violent for kids just add blood to make it more beleivable, and make toon movements more smooth, it's to chopping at the moment and the graphics don't look all that great either, if i spent $600 dollars for a graphics card i would be playing something prettier, hell some people use twin $600 cards Wed Aug 08 2007 9:14PM
