Bound by Flame Videos: First Impressions (14:34)

Bound by Flame is an independent action RPG with an emphasis on story and player choice. You play as Vulcan, a hero whose gender you can choose at the start. Vulcan got a little too tempted by the promise of power through summoning a fire demon and then faces some tough decisions. The demonic possession grants the extra power, but at a cost of Vulcan's humanity. Players will be able to choose just how deeply they will go toward either side in the rest of the game. Bound By Flame is not quite

I think games like these are scams, they don't let the public test it and tell them its crap.

they just push it out and hope some unsuspecting players buy it.

they probably put more money into marketing the game than making it.

Great game already played over 18 hours on hard mode, and for $25 its good, also I think they should develop more games like this....

To be honest the sad part about this is that I enjoy these type of games more than I do MMO's because of the bad choices developers always make, and the only MMO like this I can find is Vindictus, but the problem is that they are Pay 2 Enjoy / Pay 2 win which kills the game for me I wont play anything by Nexon anymore.... The only other game similar to this is called "Arche Blade" Combat Wise which is pretty good but not enough servers when I play and they are all Full.

I just finished it today in max difficulty (Captain) and I found it quite fun and challenging, honestly. My only complain (besides lasting only around 20 hours for me) is that there weren't many varied types of enemies. Encounters throughout the game were all basically camps with a combination of one big enemy and two minions of lesser power that consisted in a ranged damage minion and a melee minion.

The story is quite interesting and you make choices that do reflect in the ending, the voice acting is not nearly as terrible as Bill Murphy painted it. There is actually a witch character that I enjoyed talking with just to hear her well achieved cold, insolent tone. There are different romance options for the NPCs that you meet, as well and you may even end up being betrayed by some of them.  The endings are very different one from another depending on the choices you make during the game.

All in all, I recommend not buying it at full 40+ $/€ price and  waiting for a Steam sale or some good deal at the local store. Still, once you pick it up, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I give a 7.5/10, but with a thumbs up because I enjoyed playing through it all despite its flaws.
