Shelby13 writes: Old game with a lot of history and bad press.. but honestly still very fun to play IF you like Star Wars. Housing and Space Flight systems are unique. Crafting system is best in class. If you can get past the history, the current game stands up rather well and offers its own unique experience. Development has slowed down A LOT in the past year, so updates are few and far between. Lots to do.. both solo and group.. and the community is diverse and there are a lot of mature players still in the game, if your looking for it. Its not as hyped-up as the new releases, but its a solid game that is playable. Tue Dec 01 2009 12:08PM

As a player from as early as just after launch, I was fooled into playing this game time and time again because of the name. From the start, SWG failed to capture the Star Wars essence. For one it goes COMPLETLY against the majority of star wars lore which drives me crazy and for 2, it takes for ever to level. But overall its a wonderful game! Try it out if you havnt.
