Acclaim Clears Up North American Plans
Acclaim has confirmed that they are bringing the game back to North America in 2010.

The Chronicles of Spellborn is a fairly traditional fantasy MMORPG. Setting it aside from similar games is the prevalence of quests and their importance to advancement. Killing creatures does not net the bulk of experience here, limiting the level grind that many games suffer from.
Skills become more powerful with leveling up, although a player may only choose from several skills at a time to utilize. There are 1,000 quests for players to complete in addition to storyline quests that advance the game's plot. Special Ancestral Quests allow a character to step into Spellborn's history and moves individual character arcs forward.
As for combat, it is fluid, featuring a first-person targeting system and combo sequences to execute. Not to skimp on endgame content, playrs can learn skills of other archetypes at the highest level.Weapons too are customizable with sigils, which are interchangeable, so if you enhance a weapon and find something you like more, the power of the upgrade is not lost. While the game requires a subscription to fully enjoy, there is a limited free area one can explore indefinitely, until a character reaches level 10.
