IGN has revealed the 51st "peek of the week" for Mourning. This week they are looking more at the combat subsystems - specifically at the "passive defense" subsystem. Here is an excerpt from the article:
|The passive defense combat subsystem's role is based on passive defensive actions and its main function is to make player characters avoid getting any kind of damage from melee and ranged combat actions. These passive actions - evade, parry and block - and are automatic actions performed by your character in an attempt to avoid getting hit by opponents. All these passive defense actions have some common characteristics; the action interval, the areas and the action counters. Also, all of them have some specific requirements in order to be activated.|
The passive defense action interval is the window of time to which the action counters refer. This time interval is a constant amount (two seconds at this moment) and at the end of it, all these action counters are reset to zero.
