Mythic Releases New Cinematic Trailer for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

Mythic Entertainment unveils a new cinematic trailer for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR).The new trailer brings the Age of Reckoning to life in stunning detail and showcases the ongoing conflict between the armies of Order and Destruction, the catalyst for WAR’s groundbreaking Realm vs. Realm gameplay.

Set against the backdrop of a city under siege, a devious Goblin Squig Herder, mutating Chaos Marauder, and deadly Dark Elf Sorceress lead the invading hordes of Destruction in the assault on the city of Altdorf. Rallying the forces of Order in defense of their capital are the noble High Elf Shadow Warrior, fiery Empire Bright Wizard, and stalwart Dwarf Engineer. To the victors go the spoils of war; to the defeated, utter annihilation.

i like the humor of Warhammer, how the Squig herder 'motivated' his pet, how you saw Orcs flying against the walls and roofs of buildings :p

and the dark elf chick was hot

Think the subtitle is big enough? Heh..

I really love the trailer as well. The missed Orcapult shot, the Squig Herder, with his face surrounded by a squig helmet, mimicing the squig's "GRARARARAW" sound... just little hints of humor that lets this game maintain it's very real, gritty feeling without inundating people with it.

And the fights are just great! Though it is hard to tell who has the advantage... though Destruction does have the big bird thing, we never do see the Squig Herder or Marauder recover from their wounds like the Bright Wizard does...

There, fixed the subtitle some, it automatically carried over the formating from the press release.

Yeah, too bad the game isn't like the pre rendered cut scene that every game has, that takes thousands of computer hours to render frame by frame.

Just an FYI, it's still huge on the main News page too :)

Eh ? we see almost all the classes in the videos fighting each others.  Of course if you expect a game to be like a cinematic, that aint going to happen.   Very nice video.

That's why it's called a cinematic trailer, not a gameplay trailer...

Sure, you do. But it’s nothing like that at all. That’s all I’m saying, it is an awesome video, but it’s so far from how the game really plays, it makes me sad. Just like every other pre-rendered movie.

So why are you complaining? Wait, so far from how the game really plays...I KNEW IT! It's really Warhammer 40K in disguise! Because there's magic and arrows and swords in the trailer, but if that's so far from how it really plays, the real game has heavy bolters, flamethrowers and all that good stuff!

Cool trailer, just like for most other games, but as the years pass they get better and better.

That's what people were saying 5 years ago.

Does anyone have the high quality download by chance?

Hehe yeah, what I thought, too. :D  I mean, they have fancy beards and hair like Londo Mollari, but the burn... looks great. In the game they just need a few more roots to escape melee dangers now and then.

A great trailer, it looks they learned from Bliz to make great videos, hehe. Not bad at all.

I think its the same company as the previous WAR cinematic and that's BLUR. They don't need to learn from Blizzard Entertainment, they got enough experience themself. They also made the kick ass Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War trailer and the cinematics of Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. :)
