What a total joke and disgrace has SOE become. They never learn and never will.

Total disregard and disrepect towards their European (or non-US for that matter) customers!

No European retailer is selling the Pre-Orders or the boxes themselves at all.

And then you have this silly community manager that thinks it's totally acceptable that European customers have to pay 50 bucks on shipping!!! ON TOP of the expansion to order it at US retailers.

GAMESTOP USA sells the expansion and pre-order offer.  GAMESTOP Europe does not!

AMAZON.com sells the expansion and pre-order offer. AMAZON.co.uk does not!

How much more can you screw up over the years SOE! /facepalm!

Since RoK expansion two years ago, SOE has managed to create some sort of seamless mechanic to be able to create much much larger zones.

So these 2 zones are probably of compairable size of 8-10 old zones.

There is some more interesting info about this expansion:

-  It is only distributed by gamestop.com and amazon.com, so just in the US

- the retail pre-order costs the same as the 7 day later digital download (download includes no extra goodies)

- it offers 30 day free play time just for NEW players - loyal old customers get no free time

- international customers only can order it at gamestop.com, means between 15$ and 50$ shipping, taxes etc extra costs

So this expansion pre-order is a US only pre-order with benefits for only US customers because the rest of they international loyal playerbase has to take the digital download which is without all the nice goodies  for the same price as the US customers get their retail with many, many benefits.

This suggests that it is not financially viable to sell directly to the European market due to low expected sales and that the demand for the product isn't high enough for most retailers to stock it.

The box sales are in direct response to the communities expressed desire for increased retail presence.

Personally, I have always purchased box sales when available and have already pre-ordered 3 copies.

2 very large overland zones. Plus a fairly respectable number of instanced zones, which is where the majority of the group content will be located.

How many times must people point out that SOE can not force retailers to offer a product? They can have incentives to stock it, but can NOT FORCE retailers to stock it!

OMG.  Die already.  EQ2's story and game play is only fun and credible on PvP servers.  But that's where the problem lies.    The PvP game play is ridiculously out of control and balance as it reminds me of a hacked Battlenet Diablo server.  The PvP servers are full of unemployed, sour grape AA farmers that run around ganking quest geared levelers.

PvP is a very small minority of EQ2's playerbase.

It's the only server type in the game that gives it's "evil" and "good" story foundation any credibility or realism...and fun.

You are implying something that is not there.

Just because there are two opposing ideals cities, doesn't mean they have to be at war. Ever heard of a cold war?

If you paid attention to the story for real, you would know they make agreements from time to time, and work together for common causes (expansion storylines, trade, etc).

There is 0 credibility in the PVP server as they have abolished the line between good and evil, there are good necromancers and evil paladins, no don't try to correct this with their evil counter parts. Upon completing the betrayal quest line those allignment specific classes do NOT have to convert thus blurring the lines of what makes their class good or evil. Also last time i checked the PVP server population was so low the players demanded a server merge because they ran out of folks to kill.
