Aion Community Manager Andrew "Tamat" Beegle reveals that NCsoft has compared their internal data to their player survey data and will be making a change to Aion's fort capture timers. The new timer will be extended to one hour, up from its original half hour window.

Reported on Jan 05, 2010Aion's Azphel server was subject to an interesting glitch yesterday, as a number of players on the server were rewarded with 30 trillion Kinah. Of course, the economy exploded into absolute chaos following the glitch as word spread about the lucrative bug. NCsoft has since released an announcement, stating that the company would be rolling back servers to 6 AM CST Monday morning in order to reverse the effects of the glitch.

Reported on Dec 19, 2009Today, NCsoft patched in the Solorius Festival, this year's Aion holiday event. During the Solorius Festival, which runs until January 6th, 2010, both the Elysean capital of Sanctum and the Asmodian capital of Pandaemonium will be lit up with festive decorations and holiday music will be piped throughout the city. Players can also look forward to Solorius Shugo merchants who will deal in festival wares, as well as bakers who will sell stat-buffing pastries and beverages.

Reported on Nov 23, 2009Bug fixes and tweaks are part and parcel of every patch major or minor for a live MMOG, but patch 1.5.1. for Aion is looking to address one of the hot button complaints about the game: the grind. 1.5.1 is aggressively tackling the issue with boosts in XP rates for quests, combat, and even crafting, and a reduction in XP penalty for being in groups. New repeatable quests have also been added. NCsoft is looking to make the game a bit more rewarding as well, as 1.5.1 boosts the drop rates of bosses

Combined sales of the company's recently released MMOG, Aion, in North American and European markets total near one million units, with 500,000 units sold in North American territories, and 470,000 units sold in Europe.
