This is great news, though i really hope its more then planet Kashyyyk, Mining asteroids and cybernetic body parts. We havent heard much yet so i think it will be much more (I hope). If the realease will be in May maybe they realease Combat Upgrade at the same time, couse they will only have ONE beta test that includes both Expansion and Upgrade.

They are releasing the CU and the expansion at the same time, it says so right on the RotW website that they are hand in hand :D

I cant wait personally. While we don't know much yet, it's looking interesting and the screenshots I've seen show Kashyyyk has a highly stylized design, possibly hand-made. Should be a content-filled planet.

Remember also that with a new planet comes a new space zone. So you'll see all new content there as well :)

Also while it hasn't been announced, in one of the screenshots you see 4 wookies. The one on the far left has like a metal band around his head.. this COULD indicate the introduction of 'KotOR style' gear like neural bands and such :D

Either way anyone who has played the game in the last 6 months can tell you the devs are doing great things right now, some really impressive stuff has been pushed out CONSTANTLY, all extremely high quality, starting with the JtLS expansion, so I have little doubt that this expansion and the CU will rock :D

It seems like they only threw in the cybernetic body implants because it'd be easy to do and add another feature to their still very small list.

And yes, if I'm not mistaken I think they did announce that the combat upgrade and Kashyyk expansion would all be beta'd together.

Very small list of features? Wow what game are you playing. This game is more feature heavy then any other MMOG I have played. Most would say it has a tun of features but not as much depth as some other MMOG's.

I was referring to their very small list of features for an expansion they expect us to pay $24.95 on, Fion. It's a very valid argument. I wasn't referring to the game itself.

Well, I hope this expansion adds some new PvE-endgame for SWG. With the CU some of the old palnets will probably be hard group-level content again, but we have been through all them a dozen times over so they hold no secrets. A really hard PvE-planet with a new spacezone that is hopefully open PvP between rebels and Imps (there is a blockade going on after all) would be really nice.
