RiftNexus.com has scored a new preview of the Rift: Planes of Telara zone called Stonefield. Stonefield is one of the first areas for the Defiant faction where players are challenged to fight the servants of the Titans, protecting helpless townsfolk and descending into the Deepstrike Mine.
The Bones of the Earth
In some places, the titans’ influence bursts through the very stone. At Titan’s Rest, the skeleton of a particularly vast specimen juts from the hills, jaw agape in an endless scream. Rocs flit between his ribs, as if hoping to pick an ancient scrap of meat from the bones.
Mountain trolls wander his upturned grave, resting against his wrist-bone or making their lairs in his empty eye sockets. These rough-hewn brutes are split into two factions: those who yearn for a return to titan rule, and those who savor the freedom to roam the hills, smashing and slaying at will. When trolls from rival camps meet, they charge at each other, their bulbous feet tearing the earth, and crash together like boulders. Cracks in the titan’s massive bones might be evidence of where one troll smashed in another’s head.

Thanks to Cyphers for the tip!
Looks cool, if maybe a bit small in terms of area to explore.
I'm a person who likes wide open spaces, where it feels like you can stumble across something unexpected. You know a sense of adventure. A lot of MMO's are losing that aspect of game play, making them feel more like single player games.
It looks good, but reminds me a lot of what I thought when I saw aions flythroughs. It also doesnt seem very distinct to me. Seems like a bunch of bad guys, either standing around, or just walking back and forth in random areas. Dont get me wrong, I'll probably play rift, I've liked what I've seen thus far, but this video doesnt amplify that. It makes me shrug.
I hope some other areas are better than that.
^^ that worked well!
just wanted to say, if you like a sense of adventure, why would you want to see it all in a 3 minute video?
Reminds me of the starting area for Zealots / Maradurs "Spelt wrongly" on Warhammer.
