Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures News - Open Beta Begins Today

Sony Online has announced that the open beta for its latest game, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, has officially begun. Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is a family-friendly game based on the popular cartoon movies and series. SWCWA will be a free-to-play title alongside SOE stablemate Free Realms.
Clone Wars Adventures is a free-to-play game, but players who want to take the galactic action to the next level can purchase a monthly Membership subscription for $5.99, while a variety of epic items can also be purchased through Station Cash micro-transactions. The Clone Wars Adventures Galactic Passport is scheduled to be available at thousands of retail locations in North America later this fall and will include a 90-day membership, 500 Station Cash, the ability to unlock the Togruta playable character, a Yoda monitor topper, and more.

If you want to play the REAL game you have to fork over 6 dollars? No thank you.
6 dollars isn't alot, but I was gonna treat the game like a mobsters or mafia wars, or any of those other browser games

Ok this game is pretty much a virtual chatroom with some minigames you can play by yourself..... I yawned.

Yup, clone troopers can wield lightsabers, use the Force and become a Jedi as long as his owner pays the subscription.

All though parents did pay for their chidren so they could play WoW so lord knows if they actually would pay for a shit game like this.

Well now days it could be rewriten as "Childhood's over the moment you know George Lucas is going to defile another cherished memory of it for money."
You said it. Lucas has defiled more childhood memories than have the actions of Catholic Priests en totum. (Like the "Johnny Dangerously" quotes, by the by.)

Still Lotro F2P seems more accessible in terms of $$$ and is a real MMO

Why do they let SOE touch anything with the Star wars IP, they throw cannon and lore right out the window, maybe the kiddies that play the game will not know.. another SOE abomination.. LOL

Ok I TRIED it, but where Free Realms at least was some sort of fun, this is a yawnfest, even for kids, I suppose too simplified.
