Age of Conan's Craig Morrison has written the July edition of the Game Director's Letter. In it, Morrison speaks to the fact that developers are in a state of reflection at the moment due to factors including the Norwegian holiday season, a new studio to get running and the just-launched expansion. But reflection doesn't mean not working.
Funcom has plans to roll out some updates to the Rise of the Godslayer expansion over the next month or two. These updates will include some bug fixes and adding the rest of the tier 4 raids. Funcom devs are also beginning work on the underlying Dreamworld engine. Add to that the prioritization of the never ending list of things to do, implement, fix and add and, well, they have a lot to do.
But even more important to devs right now is player feedback. With that in mind, Funcom has created five surveys for players to complete. Each survey focuses on a different topic:
To sweeten the pot, Funcom will gift lifetime subscriptions to one player per survey in a drawing to be held in August. Winners will be chosen from among all survey participants who provide an active account email.
Morrison stresses that no matter how 'off the beaten track' one's opinion is, it's worth making it heard by completing the surveys. Never let a chance like this pass!
Read all of Morrison's Game Director's Letter and then take the surveys to let your voice be heard.

Looks like they are taking a note from the Global Agenda devs. Decent deal for those that win.
Very good idea!
At least they still seem to be trying hard to improve it... good on' em.
The more it improves, the more chance I may take another look at it, in the future.
These are decent surveys, hopefully they can get enough 'good' feedback to go in the right direction.
OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THE HIPOCRICY OF THIS COMPANY!
They have always received feedback in many ways, mostly forum. I give them that. They always asked for our opinion. The problem is that they NEVER listen to the majority. And even when something was asked from 90% of the playerbase and they didn't refuse it, in the end they found a cheap excuse as why they WON'T /CAN'T do it.
Makes you wonder if they actually play their own game
Like 99% of the devs no they dont play own games and there for most of the devs are out of touch with ingame situation.
Not all but vast majority.
Why do they think they did the survey? They narrowed it down most likely from the forums. I found it a nice way to say something about my opinion and it gives them raw numbers to look at so they can focus on the most prominent ideas first.
The only thing I was upset about was that I couldn't leave a comment for raiding. I hardly ever raid anymore because it takes forever to get it started and waiting for everybody to get there. They need to implement a summons to the raid so we don't have to wait for that person to get there, especially in a middle of a raid. The time in a raid should be spent actually playing it not waiting for everybody. I understand the time needing to form it but once formed let's roll please! =)
