Lol, I get that all the time, and yes, I'm aware of it. Long story short, I actually met a Robert Loblaw long before AD, and had a good laugh upon the realization. Thought it would make an excellent online handle (Bob_Loblaw used to be my handle in the old days). Then came along Arrested Development and the name was always taken when ever I went to register any forum/game etc, so I revamped it.

So GCW hey? Why was Xerith's post deleted Mr Mod?

If they went to a f2p MMO, I would go back...that's the only way.

They already have a cash shop...that stupid trading card game it has.

free to play would breath some life back into that game. I got into online gaming late, the game was old by the time i began to get into MMOs. I can't justify paying for that when there are so many other alternatives out there that more than surpass it graphically. The community is too small for the game world it seems. It is ancient ruin of a game. They need to make it F2P. I would check it out then, so would alot of other people.

This is a total complete waste of resources, SWG is dead and with newer games coming out , SWG will be closing this year.   SWTOR, STO, etc are hitting the market.   The only way SWG would survive is if they lower the subscription and condense the servers down to 6.   Plus add 2 pre-cu servers and they will make some money.

No matter what SOE does the game is dead.

Sorry to ask, but, why does this game warrant it's own Front Page post about something new being added to the Test server? More importantly, why does SWG warrant attention at all?

Why would SOE want any attention towards this game considering the negativity that ALWAYS ensues with ANY mention of SWG on any forum?

Seems counter productive to me.

OH WOW. So, basically, the UO Faction system is coming to SWG? Ability to take over cities.... Interesting..... I double the comments about making it free to play. get some people in there!!!!

SOE keeps following the road of pumping out more new stuff, without bothering to fix all of the broken/outdated stuff that is already there.

SWG had its time, but is now long past.

 Granted, I'm not a fan of CU or NGE and dearly miss the good ole days with my Combat Medic / Rifleman, but if SOE hasn't made classic server by now, they never will. Does that mean SWG is the worst MMO on the planet, surprisingly no. I've played games that are by far more excruciating to play simply because the game mechanics are even more bland then the current SWG standard.

Take WoW for instance, it's the most popular MMO and it's so ridiculously boring that I can no longer even think about it, let alone play it. Then I tried Aion, which with amazing effort, turned out to be so lag ridden ( PvP Raids ) that I couldn't even play it if I wanted to. So I ended up going back to my SOE Station Pass for $30 a month and have my 8 game variety with which to shuffle through. SWG's monthly fee may not be free, but with the Station Pass, it might as well be considered free or at the very least, $4 a month.

I'm not saying people should stop complaining, cause we certainly deserve to. However, it's been soooooooo long since what happened, happened, that people should really find something better to do than shoot a horse thats been dead this long.

Yeah, I went back a couple weeks ago to fly my space ship with some buddies. We've had a good time with it.

I'm so horribly sorry about what Sony did... But I've moved on.  The old game is gone (Except for the Emulator  thats mostly done now).

I look forward to seeing what the GCW Update does. I hope to god it does sometthing for Pilots....

Its the closest thing I'll ever ever get to an X-Wing VS. TIE Fighter MMORPG. even SWTOR will never do that for me.

Star trek on line launches in less than a month.  This will be a nother nail in the coffin for SWG as I predict the sci fi MMORPG players will be flocking.

They're really 2 totally different games.  Any SWG player that goes to STO thinking he's going to get the same style is really going to be disappointed. 

Plus I think the whole SW vs ST factor is going to kick in as there are those that would never have anything to do with the one because they're fans of the other.

5 minutes? Or so...

But I've mastered the civilian pilot branch and I have one of Han Solo's freighters. It lets my friends man the turrets and I do the flying. So we go around ripping shizzle apart. Its fun, for what it is.

Thanks for the laugh, but you're right, SWG veterans, as pissed off as we are will probably never let go. Take me for instance, I'm back to playing again cause even the current SWG is atleast playable to some extent and I'm mainly doing it for the crafting at the moment anyways.

I'm just praying for some GCW content in Space...
