Tatsumaki is an upcoming MMORPG set in 16th century Japan and featuring a classless leveling system, an open environment, and a fighting-game inspired control scheme. Designed by a group of gamers who delcare themselves tired of the same old level grind, Tatsumaki attempts to capture an era in Japan that was both volatile and peaceful, and give players many options for thigns to do and choice in their characters' paths.
One can engage in such diverse activities as fishing, go into battle, or sit and play Go. Other elements such as dynamic weather and realistic seasons are planned. The game is currently in development, with no set release date, though pre-orders are already available, with funds going into development.
