Lichdom: Battlemage

Lichdom: Battlemage is a first-person action RPG that puts you in the role of a powerful caster drawing from some powerful arcane energy. You are in service to a sorcerer but you have your own goals in mind as you face the evil that is threatening the land. As you progress, you will be able to craft your own spells and customize your character with powers of your own choosing in this action RPG that puts the mage front and center.

FEATURES

  • Deep Crafting System | As a first person game centered upon a mage wielding powerful spells, you will be able to loot and synthesize components, choose what types of magic to wield, and create your own custom magical loadouts for your quest.
  • First Person Battlemage | The action is in your face in this "first person caster", as the developer calls it. The use of CryEngine makes things vivid.
  • Beyond Magic Missile | There's an original story about an evil mage cult threatening the future, but slinging powerful magic is the name of the game. Players can undertake missions and even set enemies against each other.

Great Ideas, Mediocre Execution

Great Ideas, Mediocre Execution - Lichdom: Battlemage News

Lichdom: Battlemage is one hell of a cool idea from Xaviant. Remember Hexen, the first-person shooter where you played a mage instead of some gun-toting action hero? That's the idea behind Lichdom, and for the most part Xaviant takes the idea in the right direction delivering a competent, if not fully-realized Action RPG. Read on for our full review.
