Yeah...the video says July 30, 2012.

@ other question

No, it hasn't launched yet. They are waiting until buzz around Shadowrun Returns dies down a little, then they will start beta invites, etc. That was the last official I heard around 2 weeks ago from today.

Thursday, September 19 = International Talk LIke A Pirate Day.

I think that you should do an update on SRO on this date, because what could be cooler than a Hacker that sounds like a Pirate? But please abscondiate any squawky horrid Parrots you may have flying around.

Yarr!

It's kind of silly to release a promo video with a date .. then not meet that deadline .. then provide no further details...

Hmm..

why do they keep calling these games "real-time"..... i fail to see the real time controls here..... just a point and click step by step giving orders to the characters....

To me, real time is when i actively control my character. Giving orders with clicks then wait for them to act is not real time to me... not even close. Thats just me.

Hmm..

I could see that for one who doesn't follow all things Shadowrun. For those of us that do it we know why it happened.

The video was released prior to Catalyst, Jordan (Harebrained Schemes, Shadowrun Returns) and Cliffhangar all getting together and deciding to have a "Year of Shadowrun" rebirth of the entire IP. A new edition of the tabletop is out this year (5th ed) as well as a CCG being made in addition to Shadowrun Returns (SPRPG) and Shadowrun Online.

As mentioned above they did not want to chance the possibility of SRO stealing any of SRR's thunder so SRO's calendar is being pushed back until they determine that SRR has had sufficient lime light. Currently that period of time has been determined to be the end of this year, at which point CLosed Beta will ramp up for SRO.

So, yeah, details were provided you just have to be an "all things Shadowrun" fan (which most of the community behind this is) to know about it.

To be fair, the quote is "ALMOST LIKE real time". He didn't say it was. He's trying to convey that is it a very fast paced turn-based. I know, I know, he should have said that instead.
