    William Shatner voice packs for Elite: Dangerous are now up for preorder on the HCS Voiceover store front. The voice pack is for "Orion" and contains 1,300 phrases voiced by Shatner and will be released into game on April 8th.

    Frontier Developments has announced that the full release of the Elite: Dangerous Horizons expansion will be delayed until after May 31, 2016. Developers cited a review of the development and the need for more time to meet "our absolute commitment to quality" as the reasons for delay.

    Frontier Development has responded to a question about whether or not Oculus Rift will be supported as a VR device for Elite: Dangerous. According to the reply, SteamVR is currently the only unit supported by Frontier, though it is still in talks with Oculus about Rift support.     The latest Elite: Dangerous newsletter has been sent out and gives players a bit of a peek at some of the forthcoming additions to the Horizons expansions throughout 2016. Players will be able to add much more details to the look of their Commander through the Creator Tool. In the future, large ships will also be able to function something like an aircraft carrier with the ability to launch short-range fighters to take part in space battles.
