The folks at Ragnarok Online have announced details of Episode 12: Nightmare of Midgard, the next update for the game which adds new map features, new quests, and more.

Nine months after Ragnarok Online's previous update, Episode 11.3, players are thrust into a new adventure of epic proportions. The latest update to the game is Episode 12: Nightmare of Midgard. This new update sees the destruction of the Rune-Midgard town of Morroc as the revival of the great beast Satan Morroc wreaks havoc upon the world. A single quest from the previous update, Dandelion's Request, provided players with an intense adventure that foreshadowed what laid ahead in the upcoming patch.

With this update came new features for Ragnarok Online itself. Among them is a hotkey that provided players with an in-game world map where they can seek out the location of logged-in friends and guildmates; a long-desired Quest Journal for players to keep track of important quests; and Battlegrounds, a new PVP experience for the daring player.

Along with new features, there are now five new quests for players to partake in as well as a slew of new monsters, cards, and now an NPC that will add card slots to certain weapons and armor to better equip players for the challenges that lie ahead.
