Yea thats nice, but lets not forget the horrible feature that you will also lose it when you die lol, these games needs to learn that perma death / item loss on death is not what people are looking for, you see it over and over in perma death / item loss on death threads. Dont these Devs read forums?

I predict that this game wont last long.

wangkom, to counter the issues that you mentioned gear in Albion will be rather easy to craft, so it won't be the case that you have to grind for weeks for a certain item only to have it looted away in an instant.

Also, the actually difference in strength between different tiers of gear will not be that big, i.e. you will be able to compete with lower tier gear against higher tier gear.

In addition to that, the increase in overall resource cost for higher tier gear is quite strong, with the result that in a prolonged war or series of fights, it will not be that case that more expensive gear will always prevail.

All items will have a durability to them and cannot be repaired (at least not as this stage). Thus, the economy will be in constant flux and it won't be the case that a group of players can just grind their way up to the best gear and then own everybody else for good.

Finally, as there is hardly any "skill / XP grind" and its effects are rather mild, newer players will be able to compete almost straight away. In PvP, skill and team play will be far more important than in other MMOs.

wangkom writes: I understand what you are saying, but still, why make a PvP oriented game only, you lose out on such big a market, i dont get it. There is absolute no reason a PvE player should play Albion Online, since there isn't any achievement from getting gear. They might aswell just start people out with best gear possible and say, here, go pvp. Thu Feb 27 2014 4:04PM Report

Sorry, but until I actually play the game and see exactly what they have in mind, having player skills / abilities completely dependent upon gear in a full loot PvP game just sounds like a really stupid idea.
