The latest The Division State of the Game Broadcast has just wrapped up with a frank discussion of a game needing attention. Rather than release the next DLC, Ubisoft and the development team will spend the next couple of months working on hotfixes to address the most pressing issues, and that v1.4, rather than being the Survival DLC, will be a patch dedicated to addressing larger, more encompassing bugs in the game.
1.4 will be a stand alone update, that will focus on a general overhaul of the game in direct discussion with the community to address the issues that have been listed in the last State of the Game and not only improve the quality of life in the game, but also the whole experience.
"The idea is not to rush out a new update, but to take the time that is needed to make it a good experience." the team wrote on The Division Reddit summary of the State of the Game event.
Fixes in 1.4 include
Ubisoft is also committed to involving the community in honest discussions about what needs to be fixed, what features might be interesting to include and so on. Players will be invited to Massive to check out 1.4 and work with the development team to hammer out any pressing issues. This will be at no cost to players and will include all segments of the community.
A new section of the forum will also be opened to provide feedback and participate in specific topics. The first topic is "Your Top 10 Bugs".
Pending releases of DLC, including the Survival DLC, will be tabled to make the game a more stable, bug-free environment.
