The Division developed by Ubisoft Massive and published by Ubisoft takes place after a pandemic hits New York City in which one by one everything begins to fall. Society is collapsing and it's up to The Division, known as a unit of self-supported tactical agents to try and cure the virus.
The Division will be receiving another DLC with the release of patch 1.6 and Last Stand in the near future. Last stand challenges to players to control a trio of tactical areas on one of the four Dark Zone maps. Within each control point are three objectives that have to be completed in order to get control. Once a location is secured, points are awarded until one team reaches the maximum score to win.
Ubisoft is teasing a big reveal for The Division and the Last Stand DLC. The event will take place on Thursday, January 19th at 8:00 Pacific / 11:00 am Eastern in The Division Twitch channel. Little is known about The Last Stand but it appears to be a series of increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
From today through December 18th, The Division is free to anyone who uses the Uplay platform. The base game is free all weekend, though expansions are not. The offer starts at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern and ends on Monday at 1:00 pm Pacific / 3:00 pm Eastern.
The Division will be updated on Tuesday, November 22nd with the Survival DLC. Survival adds a completely new game mode that pits two dozen players onto the New York City map during a blinding blizzard. As the name implies, they will need to find food, clothing, shelter, medicine all while racing the clock to find a cure for the epidemic crippling the city.
Tom Clancy's The Division will be updated soon with Expansion 2: Survival. To make sure it is ready for public consumption, Survival is now available on the Public Test Server for players to try out and to provide feedback to the development team.
