The Nameless is an Oceanic/Asian time-zone based guild that will be located on whatever the official, or unofficial, Oceanic server for EQ Next will be. (The only exception to this is if SOE decides to make a hardcore ruleset server a la EQ1. In that case, we will be located there.) We are a casual-progression raiding guild that believes the most important thing in any MMO is that guild members are having fun together, with each other. We are an adult guild, only 18+ please, that understands real life comes first. Also, we strive to be drama-free.
What we will offer:
- Guild events
- EQ Next Landmark
- Dungeon groups
- Great atmosphere
We will have members of all types, from all across the globe. Some of our members will be very casual and only play EQ a few hours a week. Others will play every day, for hours on end. Some will come onto Teamspeak; some will not. Many will choose to only craft and many others will show up at every raid. As you see, everyone is welcome. We have only one rule for our members: respect your fellow gamers, whether they are in our guild or not.
For those interested in contributing more than the average guild member, we also have openings for various positions. We are looking for talented people to fill the roles of recruiter, class leader, officer, raid leader, raid crafter and website administrator. Please indicate your desire to fill one of these positions in your guild application.
Raiding in The Nameless will be casual, but structured. We plan to raid 2 nights a week for 3 hours each session. Raiding times are TBD, but will most likely fall between 7pm and 11pm AEST (GMT +10). Raids will use the EPGP loot system, which is the fairest, most transparent loot system you will ever find. There is no loot council or silent bidding. In fact, there is no bidding period. If you are unfamiliar with the EPGP loot system, or would like to know our rules for EPGP, please check out this thread for a detailed explanation.
The expectations for guild members who wish to be a part of the raid force will be much higher than those of our regular members. Raiders must be present for 75% of raids. This helps us keep the raid roster small and ensure our core force sees as much play time as possible. Also, raiders will be expected to be on-time for raids, to use Teamspeak, and to be equipped with the proper consumables to get the job done.
About the GM
Panda started playing MMOs with Everquest back in 2002. He spent 6 wonderful years on the Povar server progressing through the endgame raid content of Seeds of Destruction before moving on to EQ2, which he played for 2 years. In 2011, he joined Rift in its beta phase. Since then he has been leading endgame raids and has seen the fall of such tough adversaries as Regulos, Akylios and even Crucia herself.
Panda is currently contributing to the round table discussions on the EQ Next official forums. If you would like to see his views on the game and the direction it is headed, please search the official forums for posts from PandaEQN. He is extremely excited to be a part of EQ Next and is pouring all of his free time into making this the same great experience for everyone that the original Everquest once was for him.

The Nameless (EQ Lore)
In the beginning, all that existed was void. Empty of all, whether it be time or space. A vast and endless nothingness cloaked in a deep and all consuming silence. Within this void existed "The Nameless", a power so incredible that in the entire universe, it knew only itself to exist. It had no idea why it was there, just that it was. In the quiet expanse of the void, it sent itself out and searched the void to find something different.
And there it was, a pocket of space and therein lay the flow of time. When The Nameless stepped into the space, something terrible but wonderful, something terrifying but exciting happened. It detected the elements of space and time. The Nameless, knowing nothing of these things, freed what was in there so it could spread out in all directions, filling the space that had been empty for so long with a force that had no boundaries.
Forces touched each other and the emptiness filled with swirling energies, light and heat touched emptiness. Energies collided and crashed, were born and died and became new and different... none of those having been seen ever before started to form planets that differed in size and structure. Also created were stars to watch over this new creation.
But the whole chaos needed order, shaping and fine touch. And so the Nameless created The Gods of Power.
