  • Final Stage of Russian Limited Beta to Begin September 15th

    GameNet has announced that the final stage of the Russian Black Desert limited closed beta test will begin on September 15th and run through September 21st. Several new and / or updated features will be included in the CBT, most notably five playable classes, PvP starting at level 30, guild warfare, new open world bosses and more.

    GameNet has posted a new developer blog to detail the changes coming to Russian version of Black Desert Online. The exact date for CBT2 is unknown, though the blog indicates that the final phase will be held in September.

  • KR Version Launching July 14th with Megaserver & Expansion

    Thanks to user Kumapon, we know that the Korean version of Black Desert Online will officially launch on July 14th utilizing megaserver technology. In addition, launch will also see a first expansion called Valencia with open world bosses, new castles, dungeons and more for level 60+ players.

  • Wizard & Witch Shine in New Gameplay Videos

    The Korean version of Black Desert Online has been recently updated with two new playable character classes, specializing in ranged combat and AoE damage: the Witch and the Wizard. To show off the gameplay capabilies of the Witch a new gameplay video was sent out featuring the Witch engaged in mounted combat. The Wizard gameplay video has been included as well. Check it out!

  • First Russian Closed Beta Event Coming This Month

    GameNet has announced that the first closed beta test for Black Desert Online in Russia will take place from May 28th to May 31st. Players can gain access to the CBT through a series of events, give aways and contests promoted by GameNet and will be the only players to try out some of the new content being specifically designed for the Russian community, most notably in PvP and leveling.

    Pearl Abyss is a studio with something to prove. That's the feeling I get after spending a day beta testing the Korean version of Black Desert. The game has plenty of dull edges that need to be polished out, but the basic shape is already visible.

    In one of the week's more interesting news items, Daum held a press conference in Korea earlier today where it was announced that it would be publishing Black Desert in both North America and the EU and that the game will arrive in the West sometime in 2015.

  • Korean Open Beta to Kick Off on December 17th

    According to information taken from a press release held in Korea earlier today, the open beta for the highly-anticipated Black Desert will begin on December 17th. Players will be able to download the client beginning on December 10th and be able to create their characters from December 12th-15th.

  • North American & EU Publisher Revealed is reporting that the publishers for both the North American and European versions of Black Desert Online have been revealed. According to the site, Daum Communications will be publishing the game in both regions. Daum is also the Korean publisher of BDO. Black Desert Online will be published by in the Russian Federation.
