Didn't see this posted so figured I would make a topic. It may help some people that have been on the fence about this game.

Alienware is giving away free $20 pledges to Shroud of the Avatar, so either you can consider it a $20 discount to access the game or add the $20 to the pledge you already made.

Yep, this is a total steal.  $20 credit (towards your pledge level) just for clicking on a link.  You don't even have to have pledged at all and it will cred it you $20, so it's basically a 50% discount for even new backers to get the game on the cheap.

This is a fantastic promotion. Seemed too good to be true, but worked without a hitch. You can also use this $20 to start a new account. Twenty bucks for a groundbreaking new game? Yes please!

just a heads up, if you are planning to pledge above adventure or grab a founder status (early backer) level pledge as a gift via the patron system, you don't want to use the alienware coupon until after the pledge is on your account. Otherwise you will need email support to have it correctly merged with the added pledge.

Of course, if you've never pledged before, to get the $20 value, you have to spend $25 first, lol !

Basically, due to all pledge levels below $45 being "Sold Out", this pledge discount coupon will allow you to effectively buy a $45 pledge for $25...

But if you already have an entry-level pledge, this discount will allow you to go up 1 tier for free in many cases. That's a handy benefit !

why ? the game looks kind of like the new version of rune scape . does it take a strong gpu to play it ? wont this reflect poorly on the quality of alienware's products or is it more a simple acknowledgement  of the fact a gaming laptop is a poor substitute for a gaming pc . like hey buy alienware hardware and get a $20 credit for a game that looks like its browser based lmao
