New Casting system for a MMO

Outline

With this system the caster will build their spells from many different elements being able to make a lot of different types of spells and effects. The longer the caster is summoning the spell the greater the given effect.

The Essence of the spells

Spells for a given Essence

  • Aerokinesis - Users can manipulate air molecules to create winds of many strengths, including tornadoes, breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and hurricanes, and even siphon the air out of others lungs

Applications

  • Create/generate air and manipulate all forms of wind from tornadoes, hurricanes, vertical drafts, micro-bursts and other devastating forms of wind. Naturally can also create any less extreme air/wind movement.
    • Draw power from natural disasters such as whirlwinds, tornadoes, or typhoons.
  • Air Attacks
  • Air Solidification, Density Manipulation, and Pressure Manipulation via controlling air molecules.
  • Aerokinetic Constructs, including weapons, walls, armor or allies/servants.
  • Atmospheric Adaptation
  • Electrical Resistance by using the air to insulate electricity.

Pyrokinesis- The power to generate manipulate and/or absorb fire.

Hydrokinetic- The power to generate liquid water. User is able to condense/release/create varying amounts of water from nothing and expelling it in varying ways.

Terrakinesis- User can move, shape and otherwise manipulate any "Earthen" elements including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt and soil. Some users may have fine enough control to create/shape complicated objects

Divinity- The power to use or transfer a Godly-Level of skills. The user of this power is able to use or transfer the power of the divine. Both natural and supernatural fighting skills are available. Users also have immense defensive abilities; they also posses a high level of intellect which they use to plan their attacks carefully.

Necrokinesis – Users have the power to utilize magic involving the dead, life-force and/or souls. Practitioners of this trade are known as Necromancers. This is a form of Magic and Dark Arts.

The user's magical abilities revolve around manipulating the dead, death, the life-force and/or souls for good (i.e., resurrecting the dead), evil (in various ways) or simply neither. Users can also communicate with the deceased – either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily – for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge.

Many practitioners find a way to cheat Death one way or other, whether by becoming some form of undead creature or by bypassing their own ability to die.

Mental Domination-  The power to control the mind yourself  or others. Users with this power can control the minds of others with victims completely subject to the user's mental control. If the victims were placed into a semi-conscious state, they may not have any recollection of the previous actions that they performed while under its effect.

  • Hypnosis: To cause others to follow orders by directly sending suggestions into the subconscious.
    • Hypnotic Vision: To cause others to follow orders by placing them in a suggestive trance upon eye contact. Users enter a zombie-like state and follow orders until the effect wears off.
    • Persuasion: To cause others to follow orders by dictating highly compelling commands.
  • Pushing: To implant thoughts, emotions, and memories into the minds of others, making them think that it's their own, and causing them to act normally upon recognizing said information.
  • Subliminal Messaging: To captivate others through appearance or by performing a certain action

Metabolic Manipulation- The power to control one's body functions. The user can control their body functions, including, but not limited to, stopping one's own pulse to play dead and rearranging one's own internal organs.

Mechanical creation- The power to generate technological constructs. Users can create various kinds of technological constructs: weapons, armors, structures, devices, siege craft and so on. They possess advanced knowledge and intuitive understanding of technology, being able to analyze and replicate any technological device, improvise their own technology, and combine/hybridize various brands of technology for even more powerful constructs.

Organic Manipulation- The power to control all organic substances. The user can control everything and anything organic, both organisms and organic matter. They can create, manipulate, shape, transform, heal and/or destroy everything that lives, has lived or comes from either of the above.

Photokinesis- The power to generate, manipulate and/or absorb light particles. Sub-power of Electromagnetism Manipulation and EM Spectrum Manipulation. The opposite of Darkness Manipulation. Users can control light: electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye and which is emitted and absorbed in tiny "packets" called photons. They can generate, bend, shift, focus, scatter and/or generally manipulate light to various decrees and effects.

The user is capable of bending the light around them in order to become invisible, generate blasts of photon energy, create force-fields and shields of light, and ride light-waves in order to fly. One can also create constructs, holographs, mentally repel photons in order to bring an area in total darkness, and become stronger by absorbing the ambient light in an area

Erebokinesis- The power to summon, create, and manipulate darkness/shadows. The opposite of Light Manipulation. The user can create, control, manipulate, materialize and summon darkness. By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create a variety of constructs and weapons and, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows.
