The Duplex Systems team has announced in their forums that the invitations for Face of Mankind Beta 2 will be mailed out by the end of this week.  Here is the text of the post, dated May 17: 

As you have all seen from the reports, our Beta 1 Team has gotten a great deal accomplished in the last month and a half. We have bug tested the game framework, mining and production system, marketing system and combat system. Now that the game has been proven stable and playable we need more help in assuring that hard to find bugs are worked out. We also would like to gradually build up our player base to stress test the servers. Another primary feature to test will be the mission system, which will be the main focus for this stage. The time for Beta 2 has come. We will be sending out the invitation emails by the end of this week. Please visit the beta portal and make sure that your contact information is up to date. We all hope to see you in game!
