I read some of the reviews. From some of them I got the impression it is sort of a FPS, but MMO style. So more upgrades, missions, areas to explore. But still, it is about fast mouse action and kill first, talk later if you really want to.

But some other reviews make is sound like a social event. Politics, role playing, and community are the most important aspects. Which is talk, talk, and maybe do some killing.

In my opinion those two are the opposites of each other. So I am quite confused. Anybody willing to help me out?

It's a roleplaying game with first person combat. Combat isn't like a deathmatch, it's more like war in result of politics and diplomacy. You can shoot who you want, at any time, anywhere... but the LED (Law Enforcement Department) which is one of the factions in the game, can place turrets that automatically fire at anyone with a weapon out, so you have to remained holstered if you're anywhere near them.

The economy is player driven, every item in the game can only be made by the players. You have to mine the resources, refine them, make the neccessary components for your item, then produce the final product which can be sold on markets.

So yeah, it may seem like politics/roleplaying may be the opposite of first person shooters, but its not. It's carefully integrated with each other.
