Hey, I played this game during beta and REALLY liked the concept, however the freeloading 12 year old kids totally ruined the experience. And over time, I lost interest. I'm just wondering how the game is ever since it went P2P. Does it still play like a steaming pile of shit, or actually work now?

Depends on the faction you join, some factions have mature players and they tend to group together, some factions are ran by morons. During the beta was pretty bad because it will populated by people who weren't bound to one account which allowed them to do whatever the hell they wanted. Now factions are strict on player behaviour, random gankers dont usually last that long and are forced to obey the rules of each faction, however this is only because there is a controlable size playerbase. The downside to the game would be using the forum as an impression of how the game is, the problem they have is there rules arent strict enough and very few people are actually punished. Threads are spammed and users abused and alot of players have begun to use the forum less and less compared to previous numbers. The game is due for some big changes and were now all going to have to wait for the developers to deliever, the focus will be on roleplay as at the moment the focus is getting rich and kicking the other guys ass. I suggest you check the forum news for information on the 'Milestone 2' changes, but at the moment I would hold onto my money untill significant changes are added in relation to the Milestone 2. Also there are now very few bugs and almost none that effect or disrupt gameplay, they are working on ways to improve performance in areas with alot of people. Mainly removal and change to the mission system to reduce the strain on the servers. It runs well with no downtime other than patch nights. |

Yeah, we still lack a good amount of players. But the boxed version is on Amzon now and the major update "Milestone 2" is going to atract a fair amount of players too. My guess is they will start advertising either in the next month or when they implement M2. |

This game has not had the advertising and promotion to give it the population that it could, but it does have a very dedicated community. So, if you band together with the good players in this game, you will find that the problem players are not such a big deal. |
