I cancelled my subscription a while back but I was thinking of coming back since Darkfall still isn't in beta and WoW is trash. Just curious if they kept going the carebear route. When I left weapons and impants didn't drop, is that still the same? Also, is advancement still about those points from missions or do real people evaluate your skill and stuff? Last question, hows the population and lag?

The weapon and implant dropping will never be implented whatsover, so it remained the same. Advancement, in basically depending on your overall player skill using your real-life skills and not a level-up skill tree. Ranks 1-3 is automated based on your total EXP, but after that is purely all about real-life skills as a player, in other words you earn your rank through 3 + up. The population growth is steadly increasing by the numbers as the combined players of the vets and newbies are growing ever so slightly, regardless of it's lower numbers than open-beta. In all beginnings, there are hardships that we must overcome and accomplish to reap the greater rewards. If you are concerned about lag, it depends on your computer and connection speed...and the amount of players on at one battlefield, fighting your way through. Hope you return and good luck.

They've taken away the minimap, i think thats the only anti - carebear thing DPS has done in awhile.. Lag is fine, but supposedly aquatica's lag is getting fixed. A few feature upgrades, weapons got range increases.

I've been messing with WoW again and all those other MMOs and cant help but finding myself coming back to FOM. I played this game so much when it became OPEN BETA and went so far in to get the GM account. Anyway I was just wondering when people say that the population has changed 'HOW MUCH?' Also I have a few faction question. LED - Are they screwed now because I saw a BoS take over video where they lost mostly everything. BoS - Do they still suck? Vertex - Did they ever get Brooklynn after I released a full alien invasion and if so how long did that last? LAST QUESTION... If I came back what would make it so much more different then when it was in beta... I lied... I have one more question. Is it true that they are going to be making it free to play again in Novemeber? Bensin out!

All I know is that open beta was a blast and that I am coming back and I have my account resetup. The reason I ask about the money thing is because my friend is a lier and its hard to believe anything he says and what he told me is that in november the game is suppose to go free until next year then they are going to start making you pay again to get the player numbers up? Please shed some light on this subject... Bensin out!

Please shed some light on this subject... There is already a subscription pay....as you know, the game went retail around March of this year. Perhaps more light to shed your reasoning, since I do not quite get your meaning of your statement.
