There are currently 2 mmofps on the market and two being developed. The two on the market are Planetside and Neocron (1 and 2 are identical). The two being developed are Citizen Zero (Vapor Ware?) and Face of Mankind. Currently Face of Mankind is looking like the best Citizen Zero in second than Planetside and Neocron sucks. Well if anyone knows anything about Citizen Zero which has probably been canceled tell me. And any Face of Mankind info would help. But the concept of Face of Mankind is interesting. Only one server with 100,000 participants. Citizen Zero zupports supposibly up to 10,000 at a given time. But 100,000 is quite a load. Anyways I was wondering what the release date of Face of Mankind could possibly be and any info on CZ would be helpful and if you hate Neocron tell me.

I am waiting for face of mankind to come out myself, but all i can tell you about it is information that i have read. The FAQ on the main website gives alot of answers to things and also, http://www.fomportal.com/quickrefs/index.php?page=news As for a release data, DPS (the game dev's) dont want to give a data until they are 100% sure that it WILL be out on that day. Before it had a data of some time in september 2004 but that was missed as they wanted to hold the game back to fix more of the bugs before it went into open beta. So as of now no data for Open beta or retail is out but the dev's keep telling us that open beta is just around the corner so I personally expect it to be out with in about a month. At the minute its in closed beta stage 3 and as been for some time. Alot of the info on this game however is covered by the NDA as the dev's want to supprise us (apparently Neocron i did play for about a year and a half from retail was good at the start plently of bugs but we all thought they would be fixed in a matter of time. After a year and 6 months of nothing happening and a whole bag of lies i quit. Only reason i played so long was because I thought the game was going to get fixed. I guess it did provide me with tha time of amusment but after playing the open beta and a free trial of Neocron 2 the game looks very dead. Hope this info helped. |

) so its a matter of sitting tight and digging out them old FPS's for the time being (if your planning to wait for it). As for the title MMOFPS i would really class this as a MMORPG/FPS myself due to the very high content of RPG in the game.
